Ok, what about this scenario?:
female, 26-30 age range, 5'5 ft tall, 145-150 lbs, avg body fat % of between 18-20% Wants to gain muscle & toneDoesn't want to go over scale weight of 150
While tracking calories/or macros, should their eating target be for maintenance while lifting, should they do a surplus to help the muscle along, or deficit?
Also how much cardio & what kind should they do weekly?

Finally!! I've been training in power lifting style for the past year and people keep asking me what I've done to change my physique so much and they're always surprised when I tell them you just need to lift heavy shit, and track your calories/macronutrients. The excuse is "oh I don't have time for that" but the same people seem to always have time to be at the bar/club every Friday night while I'm in the gym. Lifting does not make you look like a man—steroids do. I spent years crash dieting and doing cardio always upset in the end, exhausted, lacking energy, and unmotivated by the lack of progress. Until I started lifting heavy and actually make a conscious effort to eat the sufficient amount of protein, fat, and carbs daily. It's really not that hard you just need to get over the bullshit you've heard about nutrition and exercise in the past.

I found this video after a frustrating argument with my husband on my body. Apparently, at 43-years of age, a full-time corporate job, 4 active children, I am "letting myself go". I hate to admit that his comments really got to me but now I am going take this as motivation to become more healthy. Any weight-loss or muscle toning is just an added benefit. I will admit that I will get some satisfaction out of making him eat his words, and then proceed with filing a dissolution of marriage.

Skinny fat is used to describe dudes who have a gut but built like a pencil stupid, and they called that cuz its the least attractive physique for a guy. These women are THICK if anything. They have they fat distributed to the butt and thighs. A skinny fat woman would have to be someone who has they fat distributed to their stomach and nun in the thighs or butt. Women naturally pos to have fat anyway.
